So, what do you plan to get for Christmas? A puppy? A new game? A pet rock called Tim? Well whatever you get I sincerely hope you enjoy it but thats beside the point. Stop for a moment and think for a moment 'Some people aren't as fortunate as me, I wish I could do something about it'. Well you can, what if you could give a child the gift of happiness via a pencil case, a toothbrush, something that they will use everyday and appreciate? You can, you know. JRCS participates in something called the shoebox appeal, we donate old shoeboxes that have been rewrapped and filled with things a child would enjoy, they are then sent of and on Christmas day a child will receive it, and they will be happy.
So when you do wake up on christmas, and open your christmas gift and find a pet rock named Tim and a series of not so useful accessories (including a tutu dress, only available for £50.99 get yours now) and you participated in the shoebox appeal you can think to yourself 'Wow! A child in the world is experiencing the same joy I am experiencing now! Great!'
Stay tuned

What is the point in pushing yourselves?
Positive thoughts equal positive future. In order to succeed in life, stop asking yourself why, and instead ask, what else? Sure, it seems pointless sometimes, but in the long run it could decide wether your life ends up as you want it, or it turns out as you didn't. Value opportunities you get, and again, don't ask why you have to do, look for even more to do. Opportunities are the catalysts of life, without them you would be stuck doing the same boring thing for the rest of your life, instead of moving up, or doing something different.
That's why you need to push yourselves :) Simple, quick and straight to the point explanation much?
Many thanks
David
